Even better when they go more into detail. There's a show called How It's Made (British, but shown over here on Discovery or something) that shows the manufacturing of all kinds of stuff. Usually 3 different things per half hour (23 min.) episode, so it's not super in depth, but still cool. Modern Marvels is another. One topic and an hour (45 min.) in length means it's way more in depth. Sometimes it's more history based, but they've done a lot of episodes on automotive or other manufacturing topics.
